Sephora + Pantone Universe Light Storm Liquid Shadow: a game of light and colors

WARNING: this post is about one of the (if not THE) most beautiful eyeshadows I have ever seen. I will take no responsibility if you feel a sudden urge to run to the store after reading it. Just remember that no, you can't drink it, even though it looks like a small flask of magic potion that might turn you into a unicorn...

I'm talking about Sephora + Pantone Universe Light Storm Liquid Shadow in Smoky Grape here. This thing is just mind-blowing, but unfortunately VERY hard to capture on photo, so don't look at the pics here and say "THAT's what this chick is all excited about?". It looks much, much prettier in person!

Anyway, let's start with the beginning: being a sucker for duochrome anything, I couldn't pass on this new liquid shadow formula from Sephora. I bought it in Smoky Grape, a lilac with a cool green duochrome effect

It comes in a little square tube with a doe foot applicator, and the application is a dream! Liquid shadows can be tricky sometimes, but this one is very user friendly. I just put it on my lid with the doe foot applicator and then blend with a finger and voila! It has as semi-sheer even coverage that you can easily build. It takes a few moments to set so you have ample time to work on it, but once it's dry it won't budge.

The result is just absolutely incredible! It has a super strong color shift from deep lilac to shiny silvery green, so strong in fact that I was asked how many different shadows I was wearing. Again, the pictures REALLY don't do it justice, at all. I've received multiple compliments when I was wearing it. Now the great thing is that it lasts all day with the same level of mesmerizing duochrome shine. It only starts to fade on me after about 12 hours of wear. Yep! The only thing I can think of that's not quite perfect is that the high shine finish tends to emphasize lines a little, so if you have a lot of fine lines or wrinkles on your lids, it might not be the best product for you.

Overall: I'm in love with this little thing, that's magic in a tube for $18! I'm not sure the other 2 shades have such a strong color shift, but Smoky Grape is really a wonder.
